Meat People is located in Islington and is a firm restaurant of choice for people local to the area. The clue is in the name really as Meat people serves many types of meat cooked in many different ways which also of course includes excellent steaks.
Meat People is the steak house to visit if you like a chilled atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy your steak in ambient surroundings. Jazz music plays unobtrusively in the background, while the art deco theme and the dimmed lights all add up to a tasteful venue to dine. This restaurant uses quality ingredients that are served to your specification, while food here also has that homemeade touch that makes it so popular.
The head chef here is Argentinian therefore as you would expect has great knowledge of meat, where it is sourced and how it is prepared and cooked. Mouth watering fillet and rib eye steaks are lovingly prepared with delicious accompaniments that compliment the meat beautifully. This great restaurant is certainly worth taking a look at when visiting the Islington area.

Flat Iron is located in Soho, hidden from view and offers flat iron steaks, well cooked and served on a wooden platter for your delectation! The restaurant interior resembles a 1920's New York Steakhouse with bare brick walls and refectory tables where diners can imagine they are indeed dining in "The Big Apple".
Flat Iron isn't a showy place as what they want to say they say with their food that is mouthwatering and thoroughly delicious as anyone who had dined here will tell you. There are no menus here simply a choice of two types of steak with a side salad that meat eaters will love. Diners don't even get a knife but are presented with a mini cleaver, quirky we think!
Flat Iron does not take bookings so it's a matter of arriving on spec and waiting for a slot. This is made more palatable by the two bars Flat Iron has where diners can enjoy a drink or two prior to eating. Cost wise rates are so cheap here diners will feel they really have eaten well while not being fleeced.
